Drugs manipulate your future.

War on drugs is when the government led the initiative that stopped illegal drug use distribution and trade increasing the penalties for offenders. This War began in 1890 in the United States because the government started to penalize people to sell illegal drugs with $2000 and 5 years in prison because the government finds that the drugs are considered the most dangerous as they use a very high risk for addiction. President Richard Nixon in 1970 created a law that is about the regulation of certain drugs and substances. Anti-drug abuse acts establish a mandatory minimum prison sentence for certain drug offenses and each person has to pay in prison a minimum of sentences depending on the amount of drugs. There Are two types of drugs: illicit drugs that are illegal and are just used by some people to get rid of their own problems and addiction. And the other is a prescription that is given by doctors when people feel pain, but then some people can be addicted. There are different types of drugs for example Cannabis(marijuana) that is use it for anxious, dry mouth, paranoia and calm unmotivated showing that in 2017 nobody died because of this drug, another drugs is Cocaine(crack) that is use it for headaches, sexual trouble and mood problem but in this type of drugs show a different result of 70,237 death people, Opioid (morphina) is another drug use for medicines chemical that relax pain and body showing a decrease from the other drug to 70,000 overdose deaths. And the last drug is Methamphetamine (crank) that is also for medical staff life wakefulness, rapid heart rate and irregular heartbeat also showing a decrease of the overdoses with  just 10,000 American people. Mass Incarceration is when the United States has locked up a large population in federal and state prisons as well as local jails showing that there are 2.2 million all over the country. The New York government spends approximately 2.973 billion dollars on incarceration showing a low amount compared with 59.792 billions of dollars spent all over the country.

The United States should not legalize recreational drugs because it has a higher impact on the citizens’ health creating diseases and affecting their future life. Similarly, the economy of the country will be reflected by it decreasing because it will expend too much money creating help for addict people and also will lose money from the taxes.

First, the United States will have a higher impact on citizens’ health and the creation of diseases by the future. According to ( Lopez, 2017) who is a senior correspondent focus in criminal justice, guns and drugs, “More than 560,000 people in the U.S died to drug overdoses between 1999 and 2015” this quote stated the increase that happened between these years are caused by the freedom that this country implied about recreational drugs and the jobs that were creating illegal to can sell drugs to everyone affect the country by the increase of death people and others been addictive more likely young people, reflects also the higher increase in just 16 years of a half of 1000,000. Moreover, drugs can have more consequence in people body that incurable diseases, according to CDC that is the Center for disease control and prevention sponsored by the federal government “The largest number of deaths was because of drugs, which was 52,404 people, it’s even more than the number of deaths of HIV which is 43.45 people” This refer that the inexperienced use of drugs have different type of consequences that change the life of people in a completely opposite way making them unhealthy and end it with their life. One of the diseases that have more impact and victims in the world is HIV but in this case the overdoses number of people dying is higher of more than 8 people that may not be a considerable increase but every year than quantity increase by inconsiderable numbers been too much higher that the people who are victims of HIV creating a crisis in the country. Furthermore, Transform drug policy foundation who is a non-profit charity based in the United Kingdom working in the field of drug “Drugs pose very real risks to children and young people…a small but significant proportion will experience problems- and the dangers they face are inevitable” The quote stated before refers that the young people is the one that use recreational drugs since they are Childrens and this happen over generation having dangers consequence by the inexperienced knowledge of how to use it and by the addition that they will have without matter the small portion they consume reflecting the bad use that they give to this topic, the young people are not using prescription drugs they are just using for their recreational moments creating a unhealthy environment for himself and for the people that live around them because not only the person that consume get affect it also the person that is next to them because of the smell of chemical using for those substances and the consequence of this will be the creation of new diseases in young people.

Secondly, The effect on the economy of the country will be decreased by recreational drugs because the government will be spending too much money creating help for addicts and also will lose money from the taxes.  According to an analysis from the Washington Post “Wholesale marijuana prices are dropping at insane rates in states that have legalized. The price has fallen by 70 percent over the past four years in Colorado. And in Oregon, marijuana is being sold for as little $100 per pound. Sure, the concept of cheap weed is great for the consumer, but it could be devastating for the market” in other words the legalization of drug will decrease the economy of the federal government but at some point will benefit the people who use marihuana, also in different states the decrease of legal marihuana will have higher impact than other because there are states that consume more recreational drugs than other and also depends of the amount of population that each state have. Instead of legalize the drugs and lose money the government will use those resources and spend it in something beneficial for everyone that can be Health care for people that don’t have in the actuality, programs for people who have addictions, workshops for the schools giving the young people the knowledge about drugs and their consequence or to create new jobs for example in factories creating more opportunities for people to can sustain economically for they family.

Plus, the transform drug policy foundation claims that “Global Spending on drug law enforcement certainly exceeds $100 billion each year. However, they consistently delivered the opposite of their stated goals” this suggest that the more quantity of money the government spend trying to stop drugs is the more people who use it an sell it creating a chaos, also when they legalize recreational drugs they will have to duplicate this amount of money and use it by creating regulations for citizens and more hospitals or places that people can use when they have overdoses crisis creating a completely disadvantage for the economy comparing with others countries.

As a result, United State should not authorize recreational medications by the reasons that highly affect the residents benefit making illness and influencing their future life comparatively, the economy of the nation will be reflected by it minimize on the grounds that will be consume an excess of cash making help for someone who is addicted individuals and furthermore will lose cash from the taxes. In actuality some of the countries that have more issues with drugs are Mexico and Colombia. These countries have not legalized drug acts and the consequences that the citizens have are that they are insecure in their neighborhood by the crimes created by the mafias that carry drugs in different countries. These countries are the creators of drugs that are consumed and exporter by the majority of the worlds citizens creating just a negotiation between mafias but using the resources of the government for example the farms that these group of people use and the chemical affect the plantation that is part of the government but they don’t get any benefits from this mafias group.
